Q: According to reports by foreign press, the spokesperson of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry indicated that departments concerned in Vietnam are conducting feasibility studies on organizing tours to the Nansha Islands. What's China's position in this regard? A: The Chinese side maintains a consistent position on issues concerning the South China Sea. China has indisputable sovereignty over the Nansha Islands and the adjacent waters. We hope that the countries concerned could earnestly observe the bilateral agreement and the spirit of China-ASEAN Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea and refrain from any action possibly complicating the current situation so as to commonly maintain peace and stability in the region of the South China Sea.
