Q: The issue of non-proliferation in the Middle East region is increasingly drawing worldwide attention. What efforts will the Chinese side make to solve the problem?

A: The Chinese Government has clear-cut policy and strict export control measures concerning non-proliferation. We are firmly opposed to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and delivery vehicles. We have consistently supported the establishment of a WMD-free zone in theMiddle East. Therefore,China will not provide related material, equipment and technology concerning WMD and delivery vehicles for any country in the region.
