Foreign correspondents whose reporting requires the use of radio, transmitters, satellite communication equipments, walkie-talkies or other similar communications should submit applications in advance to both the Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Information Industry (Chinese communications authority). After verifying permission from these authorities, local FAOs or relevant local government departments will render assistance.

Those foreign news agencies which wish to bring and use the International Mobile Satellite (INMARSAT) equipments in China, please apply to the China Transportation and Telecommunication Center.
