Q: The European Parliament recently adopted a negative-toned resolution on Tibet. Do you have any comment? A: The Tibetan affairs are purely domestic issue of China. The Chinese Government and people always firmly oppose any country or organization using Tibet-related issues as an excuse to interfere in China’s internal affairs. Stirred up by a handful of its members, the European Parliament turned a blind eye to facts and adopted the resolution that makes unreasonable demand to China. China expresses strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to this resolution which interferes in China’s internal affairs and offends the Chinese people. We urge the European Parliament to correctly size up the situation, comply with people’s aspiration, and immediately stop interfering in China’s internal affairs by using Tibet-related issue so as to jointly safeguard the overall interest of China-EU relations.
