Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue's Comment on the Consultation between China and Japan on the East China Sea Issues

Q: It is leant that China and Japan will hold a consultation soon in Beijing on the East China Sea issue. Please confirm. Who will represent China and Japan respectively in this consultation and what will be the main topics?

A: Through consultation between the Chinese and Japanese sides, Mr. Cui Tiankai, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and Mr. Yabunaka Nitoji, Director-General of the Department of Asian and Oceanian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will meet on October 25th in Beijing for a consultation on the East China Sea issue. The two sides will exchange views with each other on the East China Sea situation and issues of common concern.
