On the eve of September 24th, 2004, visiting Primer Wen Jiabao went to visit the outh Delegation made up of more than one hundred members and the Youth Delegation of Russia. At a time of golden spring, young people from China and Russia got together in the beautiful city of Moscow. They discussed their friendship, their ideals and their future cooperation. It was a get-together of young people and a feast of friendship. On September 24th, the friendship events reached its climax. The youth representatives arrived at the President Hotel on the bank of Moscow River with their national costumes and waited for an exciting moment.

Upon dawn, when Premier Wen Jiabao and Prime Minister Fradkov walked into the meeting hall of the hotel, the young people began to smile and applause and exclaim. The two leaders were also extraordinary delighted to see all the young people. They waved to the young people in smile from time to time.

"Young people are the future of the country and the hope of the world. The torch of human civilization will pass on to young people at last and promoting social progress is a historical task of young people. Any country or nation that attaches importance to its future has expectation to its young people. As friendly neighbours, China and Russia expect young people to renew the friendship in generations to come." Premier Wen Jiabao summarized that this was the purpose and profound significance of such friendly exchanges between the young people of the two countries.

"However perfect the wings of a bird is, it can not fly without air." Premier Wen Jiabao quoted from the famous Russian Scientist Pavlovoc and expressed his earnest expectation to young representatives. He said sincerely and sincerely, "Young people are energetic and self-motivated. To work for the people, you need nobel ideals to pave your way. President Hu Jintao and President Putin decided to define year 2004 as the "Friendship Year for Youth from China and Russia". The summer and winter camps have also enhanced the understanding and friendship between middle school students of the two countries. After the Chinese delegation made up of more than one hundred young people visited Russia, a youth delegation will visit China in October this year together with President Putin. Premier Wen Jiabao said to the youth representative, "Young people are ambassadors of friendship. Let the torch of friendship pass from one generation to the other. This is the fundamental basis of renewing our friendship."

Premier Wen Jiabao also said earnestly in his speech that he hoped the youth representatives could make full use of the event, learn from each other, increase understanding and friendship and promote cooperation. He proposed that the young people from China and Russia should work together for the ever-lasting friendship between the two countries.

With the deepening of strategic relationship between China and Russia, the song opened up a new page for the friendship between the young peoples of the two countries.
