Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing sent a message to Abdullah today to congratulate him on his appointment as Foreign Minister of the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

In the message, Li Zhaoxing said China and Afghanistan are friendly neighbors and the two peoples enjoy long-term traditional friendship. Bilateral relations have maintained a good momentum of development in recent years. China would like to work with Afghanistan to further push the development of bilateral friendly relations towards constant development.
