Foreign Journalists Visit Jiangsu Province for Interviews

From April 25 to 28, organized by the International Press Center (IPC) and the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu province, a group of foreign journalists based in China visited Nanjing, Yangzhou, Huaian and Yancheng of Jiangsu province to gather news on the development of private economy in the province. Related local officials met with the journalists and answered their questions.

In Nanjing, the journalists attended the opening ceremony of "Jiangsu Private Economy News Week" at which the First Deputy Chairman Shao Jun of the Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce introduced the development of private economy in the province, the measures of the local governments to support the development of private businesses and the difficulties, challenges and prospects of private businesses. The journalists also visited the Headquarters of Suning Appliance Chain Store (Group) Co., Ltd. and the Jiangsu Private Business Complaint Center.

In Yangzhou, the journalists visited Hubao Group and Huihuang Solar Energy Co., Ltd.; in Huaian and Yancheng, they visited Senda Group Corporation, Zhongda Group Co., Ltd. and Hengwei Group.

During the interviews, the foreign journalists conducted wide exchanges with the local industrial and commercial personnel and the private entrepreneurs of the four cities and got a better understanding of the development of private economy of Jiangsu province especially the north part of the province.

10 journalists from 7 news agencies of the US, Britain, Japan, Spain, Australia and other countries participated in the interview.
