On December 6, Assistant Foreign Minister Shen Guofang held talks with Brazilian Deputy Foreign Minister Patriota.

Shen indicated that in recent years, bilateral cooperation in various areas has been deepened and both sides have maintained close coordination in international and regional affairs. China would like to make joint efforts with Brazil to continuously strengthen mutually beneficial and friendly cooperation in international affairs and deepen the connotations of bilateral strategic partnership.

Patriota noted that Brazil would like to maintain dialogue and coordination with China on major international issues, actively conduct cooperation in various areas and push the strategic partnership to a new level.

Both sides also exchanged views on related international and regional hot-spot issues, the reform of the UN and other matters.
