On April 11, Leading Member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Qiao Zonghuai met with visiting Assistant Secretary-General for UN Peace-keeping Operations Jane Holl Lute. Both sides exchanged views on the peacekeeping operations and reform of the UN, China's participation in the UN peacekeeping operations and other issues.

Director-General Wu Hailong of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held talks with Lute on the same day.
