The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States Sign 10 Documents

On June 15, 2006, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states signed 10 documents including the Declaration on the Fifth Anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Shanghai International Convention Center, covering cooperation in such fields as information security, anti-terrorism, education, economy, trade and finance.

The documents are as follows: Declaration on the Fifth Anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Statement of Heads of Member States of Shanghai Cooperation Organization on International Information Security, the Resolution of the SCO Council of Heads of State on Secretary-General of the SCO and the Resolution of the SCO Council of Heads of State on the Regulations of the SCO Secretariat;

Documents on fighting against the "three forces" including terrorism are: the Resolution of the SCO Council of Heads of Member States on Approving the Cooperation Program of SCO Members on Combating Terrorism, Separatism, Extremism from 2007 to 2009, the Agreement on the Procedure of Organizing and Holding Joint Anti-terrorism Actions in the Territories of SCO Member states and the Agreement on Identifying and Severing Infiltrating Channels of People Engaged in Terrorism, Separatism and Extremism in the Territories of SCO Member States;

Documents related to cooperation in education, economy, trade and finance are: the Intergovernmental Educational Cooperation Agreement of SCO Member States, the Resolution of the SCO Business Council and the Action Plan of SCO Interbank Association Member Banks on Supporting Regional Economic Cooperation.
