On October 25, 2006, UN Under Secretary General in charge of political affairs Ibrahim Gambari arrived in China for a working visit. Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with Gambari and Assistant Foreign Ministers Cui Tiankai and Zhai Jun held talks with him respectively. Both sides exchanged views on China-UN cooperation, the issues of Middle East, Darfur, Myanmar, Iraq, and the nuclear issues of Iran and Korean Peninsula.
