On May 28, 2007, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Qiao Zonghuai met with the visiting head of the Diplomatic Archives of the Romanian Foreign Ministry. Qiao spoke highly of cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries in the field of archives, pointing out that this is a new area for cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries and will play an active role in promoting bilateral ties. Director-General of the Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Guo Chongli and Romanian Ambassador to China Viorel Isticioaia attended the meeting.
