On March 10 and 11, 2008, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Jieyi attended a meeting of the vice foreign ministers of Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRICs) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. All parties exchanged views on the world political and economic situations and other issues of common concern, agreeing to continue enhancing dialogue and exchanges.
