Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice held talks over the telephone on the evening of April 16, 2008. They agreed to make concerted efforts to boost the China-U.S. constructive and cooperative relations, and to further develop and reinforce bilateral dialogue, consultation and cooperation in a wide range of fields. The two senior officials also exchanged views on pushing forward the process of the six-party talks and the proper solution of the Iranian nuclear issue.
