On September 1, 2008, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Hongbo met in the Foreign Ministry with a delegation from the Swedish Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, headed by Kerstin Lundgren, Member of the Swedish Parliament, Centre Party. Both sides made positive comments on China-Sweden relations, expressing willingness to keep exchanges and dialogue at all levels, deepen mutual understanding and political trust and push for smooth development of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas.

Wu also briefed on China’s views on issues including China-EU relations, the EU integration process, the Doha round of the World Trade Organization talks and climate change.
