On February 19, 2009, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Hui met with Feodor Starcevic, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, who is here in China for the consultation between the two countries. Both sides made positive comments on China-Serbia relations, expressing willingness to continue enhancing exchanges between the two Foreign Ministries and push bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas for greater development.

Starcevic informed the Chinese side on the situation in Kosovo as well as Serbia’s relevant positions. Li reaffirmed China’s consistent principle on the Kosovo issue, emphasizing China stands for a proper settlement of the issue through dialogue.
