On November 15, 2009, Chinese President Hu Jintao returned to Beijing by special plane after state visits to Malaysia and Singapore and attending the Economic Leaders Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

Hu's wife Liu Yongqing, Ling Jihua, member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of General Office of the CPC Central Committee, Wang Huning, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and director of Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, State Councilor Dai Bingguo and other members of Hu's entourage arrived in Beijing by the same plane.
