Vice Foreign Minister Wang Guangya Meets with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Yuldoshev

On January 21, 2010, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Wang Guangya met with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Abdullo Yuldoshev, who is here in China for the meeting of the national coordinators of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Both sides exchanged views on China-Tajikistan relations, bilateral pragmatic cooperation, the SCO as well as other issues of common concern.

Wang made positive comments on the outcome in the development of bilateral ties in recent years, saying that China attaches great importance to developing ties with Tajikistan and is ready to work with it to comprehensively implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, build up political trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and enhance coordination in the UN, the SCO and other multilateral frameworks, so as to push China-Tajikistan good-neighborly and friendly cooperation to a new level.

Yuldoshev reaffirmed Tajikistan’s firm support for China’s principled positions on issues concerning Taiwan, Tibet and combating the "East Turkistan" terrorist forces, saying that Tajikistan hopes to keep closer political exchanges with China, push for cooperation on economy, trade, transportation, communications and infrastructure and join hands with China to combat the Three Forces in a bid to safeguard regional security and stability and promote common development and prosperity of the two countries.
