On January 25, 2010, the SCO consultation meeting at Deputy Foreign Minister level on Afghanistan was held in Moscow. All parties exchanged views and reached broad consensus on the current situation in Afghanistan, the SCO’s role in the Afghanistan issue as well as issues concerning the international conference on Afghanistan to be held on January 28 in London.

Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Hailong and representatives from other SCO member states, observer states and Afghanistan attended the consultation meeting.
