On March 25, 2011, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi sent a message of condolences to his Myanmar counterpart U Nyan Win over the casualties and economic losses inflicted by a strong earthquake in northeastern Myanmar. Yang extended heartfelt condolences to U Nyan Win and via him to the people in the quake-stricken area.
