On August 17, 2011, Chinese President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao, Vice President Xi Jinping and Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi sent congratulatory messages to Indonesian President Susilo, Vice President Boediono and Foreign Minister Marty respectively on the 66th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Indonesia. The Chinese leaders congratulated the Indonesian people on their enormous achievements in national development, economic growth and social undertakings. In the messages, the Chinese side expressed willingness to continue pushing for comprehensive, in-depth development of China-Indonesia strategic partnership and enhance mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas for the benefit of both peoples. The Chinese leaders in their messages wished the Republic of Indonesia prosperity and its people happiness.
