On December 21, 2011, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun and visiting Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman Badr held the 6th round of strategic consultations between the two Foreign Ministries.

Zhai said in recent years, China-Oman relations have maintained rapid development momentum with the friendly cooperation in various fields advancing continuously. China highly appreciates Oman's staunch support of the one-China policy and is willing to make joint efforts with Oman to push forward bilateral relations.

Badr stressed Oman attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is ready to work with China to push for greater progress of bilateral ties.

The two sides also discussed international and regional issues of common concern, especially the regional situation in West Asia and North Africa.
