On April 26, 2012, Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan met with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Jacob Rothschild, chairman of RIT Capital Partners PLC, respectively in Zhongnanhai.

During the meeting with Blair, the two sides exchanged views on the world economic situation and enhancing Sino-British economic cooperation.
