Premier Wen Jiabao to Attend the UN Conference on Sustainable Development and Visit Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile

At the invitation of President Rousseff of the Federative Republic of Brazil, President Mujica of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, President Cristina of the Republic of Argentina and President PiƱera of the Republic of Chile, Premier Wen Jiaobao of the State Council will attend the UN Conference on Sustainable Development to be held in Rio de janeiro, Brazil and pay official visits to Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile from June 20 to 26.

At the Conference, Premier Wen Jiabao will deliver an important speech, presenting China's policies and efforts in the field of sustainable development and calling on the international community to strengthen cooperation for mutual benefit and win-win progress. Premier Wen Jiabao will also meet with leaders of some participating countries on the sidelines of the Conference, having in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations and international cooperation on sustainable development.

During his visits to Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile, Premier Wen Jiabao will hold meetings and talks with leaders of the countries and exchange views with them in an in-depth manner over bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common interest. Premier Wen Jiabao will also address the headquarters of the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and Caribbean upon invitation. Premier Wen's visits will further deepen China's relations with the four countries and consolidate and develop China-Latin America comprehensive partnership of cooperation featuring equality, mutual benefit and common development.
