Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong Attends the Tullamore Show

On Sunday, August 13th, 2017, H.E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland, attended the Tullamore Show and AIB National Livestock Show in County Offaly at the Show's Committee's invitation.

 During this visit, Ambassador Yue had a friendly discussion on China-Ireland agricultural cooperation with Ms. Brenda Kiernan, the Show's Chairperson, Ms. Freda Kinnarney, Secretary of the Show, Ms. Mairead McGuiness, the First Vice-President of the European Parliament and Fine Gael's MEP, and Mr., Joe Healy, President of the Irish Farmers' Association. Both sides agreed to jointly enhance the bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in agriculture, livestock industry and horticulture.

In the interview with RTE and a local media, Ambassador Yue expressed his confidence in China-Ireland agricultural cooperation. The Ambassador was also invited to award medals to winners of the Show's competitions.
