The Tenth National Coordinators' Meeting for Cooperation Between China and Central and Eastern European Countries Successfully Held in Budapest

On October 11, 2017, the tenth National Coordinators' Meeting for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries ("16+1" Cooperation) was successfully held in Budapest, capital of Hungary. Chinese National Coordinator of the "16+1" Cooperation and Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao led a delegation to attend the meeting and delivered a keynote speech. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó of Hungary, Chinese Ambassador to Hungary Duan Jielong, Counselor of the Department of the European Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Lu Shan, Special Representative of the "16+1" Cooperation Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Huo Yuzhen, Hungarian National Coordinator Mészáros Márta, National Coordinators and representatives of the 15 Central and Eastern European countries and representatives of observer states and institutions attended the meeting. An in-depth exchange of views on the preparatory work for the 6th Summit of China and the Central and Eastern European Countries and on further promoting the development of the "16+1" cooperation was conducted at the meeting, reaching important consensus.

During his stay in Hungary, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó of Hungary, exchanging views on issues of China-Hungary relations, the building of the Road and Belt Initiative and the "16+1" cooperation.
