China and US Hold the 1st Dialogue on Outer Space Security

In order to implement relevant achievements of the 7th round of China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue, the 1st China-US Dialogue on Outer Space Security was held in Washington D.C. on May 10, 2016. Director-General of the Department of Arms Control of the Foreign Ministry Wang Qun and Assistant Secretary of State Frank Rose of the US co-chaired the dialogue. The two sides mainly exchanged views on national policies on outer space, China-US bilateral cooperation in outer space security, multilateral initiatives of outer space security and other topics, reaching relevant consensus. Both sides considered that conducted in a sound atmosphere, the practical and in-depth dialogue has achieved productive results. Both sides agreed to duly hold the 2nd China-US Dialogue on Outer Space Security by the end of this year.
