On July 24, 2019, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Cui Aimin and Chief Director of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Albert Yankey of Ghana co-chaired the first round of China-Ghana consular consultation in Beijing. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on topics of consular cooperation, protection of the rights and interests of each other's citizens and facilitation of personnel exchanges and others. They reached positive agreement on consular affairs of mutual concern at meantime.
