On August 25, 2014, Vice Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping met with the delegation led by Resident Ambassador Jakkrit Srivali of Thailand who came to China to attend the China-Thailand comprehensive security negotiation. Vice Foreign Minister Cheng extended welcome to the first China-Thailand comprehensive security negotiation and mainly exchanged views with the Thai side on such issues as security cooperation and bilateral relations development.
