On July 11, 2018, Director-General of the Department of External Security Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Shaobin co-chaired the fourth China-Japan Counter-terrorism Consultation with Ambassador in charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Eiji Yamamoto of Japan in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on issues including international and regional counter-terrorism situation and bilateral counter-terrorism exchanges and cooperation.
