External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping Holds Video Meeting of Inter-departmental and Inter-regional Mechanism between China and Kyrgyzstan with Secretary of Security Council of Kyrgyzstan Ryskeldi Musayev

On March 26, 2021, External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping held a video meeting of China-Kyrgyzstan Inter-departmental and Inter-regional Security Cooperation Mechanism Leaders with Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan Ryskeldi Musayev. Both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, and the establishment of the two inter-departmental and inter-regional mechanism. Chinese ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen, and Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Wang Mingshan also attended the meeting via video link.

Cheng Guoping said, the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Kyrgyzstan has maintained a sound momentum of development with frequent high-level exchanges, deepening political mutual trust and fruitful practical cooperation in various areas. China stands ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to implement the consensus reached between the two heads of state, deepen cooperation on counter-terrorism and security fronts, and achieve solid progress in cooperation of the inter-departmental and inter-regional mechanism between China and Kyrgyzstan, contributing to positive development of the bilateral relations.

Musayev expressed, China and Kyrgyzstan are friendly neighbors and reliable partners linked by mountains and rivers. The Belt and Road Initiative proposed by China offers development opportunities for many countries, including Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan will actively implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further deepen the cooperation in various fields such as the inter-departmental and inter-regional mechanism and law enforcement security, and continue to jointly fight against terrorism, extremism and separatism, pushing forward the comprehensive strategic partnership of the two countries.
