On April 20, 2024, Director-General of the Department of Translation and Interpretation of the Foreign Ministry Zhou Jingxing, upon invitation, attended the opening ceremony of the Summit Forum on Translation and International Communication Talent Development and Interpretation and Translation Evaluation Practice and Research and delivered a keynote speech.

Zhou Jingxing introduced the glorious mission of Chinese diplomatic translation in the new era and the quality requirements of diplomatic translators and interpreters, and welcomed more outstanding students to actively devote themselves to the diplomatic career and realize the dream of serving the country on the diplomatic front.

The forum was hosted by China Foreign Affairs University, with nearly 100 representatives from China International Communications Group, the Institute of Party History and Literature of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, China Daily, and key foreign language colleges and universities across the country in attendance.
