Chinese Delegation Attends the 7th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime

From October 6 to 10, 2014, the 7th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime was held in Vienna. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Justice and the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations in Vienna attended the conference as a delegation which was headed by Director-General Xu Hong of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Foreign Ministry.

Director-General Xu Hong, on behalf of the Chinese government, delivered a speech, comprehensively introducing the achievements of China in actively fulfilling the convention through legislation, law enforcement, justice and other measures as a party to the convention, elaborating China's stance and practice on international cooperation and combating human trafficking, illegal trafficking of guns, cyber crime and culture and property crime and so on, and calling on all the countries to carry forward cooperation on extradition, judicial assistance and asset return in a more positive, flexible and practical attitude.
