Chinese President Hu Jintao Appoints New Ambassadors

On March 13, 2013, Chinese President Hu Jintao announced the appointment of the following new ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

Yang Guoqiang was appointed ambassador to Latvia, replacing Hu Yeshun.

Yang Zigang was appointed ambassador to Suriname, replacing Yuan Nansheng.

Pan Weifang was appointed ambassador to Slovak, replacing Gu Ziping.

Yan Banghua was appointed ambassador to Uruguay, replacing Qu Shengwu.

Wu Chuntai was appointed ambassador to Nepal, replacing Yang Houlan.

Yang Houlan was appointed ambassador to Myanmar, replacing Li Junhua.

Li Li was appointed ambassador to Mauritius, replacing Bian Yanhua.
