Liu Zhenhua

Mr. Liu Zhenhua, born in Tai'an City of Shandong Province in 1921, served as vice minister of Foreign Affairs from July 1976 to March 1979.

He had long been engaged in political work in the army, and was conferred with the rank of major general in 1964.He was transferred to the Foreign Ministry in 1970, and took the post of the Chinese ambassador to Albania from 1971 to 1976.He was transferred again to the PLA in 1979, assuming the posts of deputy political commissar and political commissar of Shenyang Military Region, then political commissar of the Beijing Military Region.He was conferred with the rank of general in 1988.

He was alternate member of the 9th, 10thand 11thCPC Central Committee, member of the 12thand 13thCPC Central Committee.He was the representative to and vice-chairman of the Nationalities Committee of the 8thNational People's Congress.
