President Vladimir Putin of Russia Sends Letter of Condolence to Xi Jinping over the Violent and Terrorist Incident in Urumqi

On May 22, 2014, President Vladimir Putin of Russia sent a letter of condolence to President Xi Jinping over the violent and terrorist incident in Urumqi, extending deep condolences to the Chinese side. Putin said that Russia resolutely condemns such kind of sanguinary criminal acts. He believes that the gangsters and organizers will surely be brought to justice and receive their due punishment. As following up the talks in Shanghai between him and President Xi Jinping, he sincerely hopes that both sides could continue to intensify the Russia-China cooperation in fighting against terrorism and extremism of all forms. Putin expressed his deep sympathy to the families of the victims and wished the injured to recover soon.
