Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin of Russia Send Congratulatory Messages Respectively to 10th Plenary Session of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development

On September 21, 2015, the 10th plenary session of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development (CRFCPD) was held in Moscow, to which President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin of Russia sent congratulatory messages respectively.

Xi Jinping said in his message that since its establishment 18 years ago, the CRFCPD has done a lot of work in promoting mutual understanding and deepening traditional friendship between the two peoples, becoming a vital force in advancing bilateral non-governmental friendly exchanges. The Chinese people and the Russian people now have higher expectations for developing bilateral relations, enhancing bilateral all-round cooperation and pushing their mutual understanding and friendship. It is hoped that the CRFCPD will take this plenary session as an opportunity to score more results with a pioneering and innovative spirit in expanding bilateral non-governmental exchanges, consolidating traditional friendship between the two peoples and advancing bilateral relations.

Vladimir Putin expressed in his message that the active work of CRFCPD has consolidated the social basis of bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination and enhanced understanding and trust between the two peoples. It is hoped that this plenary session will make new contributions to further development of bilateral cooperation in such areas as society, economy, science, technology and people-to-people and cultural engagement.
