Xi Jinping pointed out that since my visit to Pakistan in 2015, China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership has made substantial progress. Currently, the international and regional situation has been undergoing profound and complex changes. Consolidating China-Pakistan all-weather friendship and deepening China-Pakistan strategic cooperation are of more important and realistic significance. China is willing to work with Pakistan to give play to the important guiding role of high-level exchanges in bilateral relations, maintain close communication in various fields, carry forward traditional friendship, continue supporting each other, and deepen interest integration, so as to promote China-Pakistan relations to develop at higher levels and build a closer China-Pakistan community of shared future. The two sides should continue steadily pushing forward the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and well plan and implement the projects of infrastructure, energy and industrial parks including Gwadar Port.

China firmly supports Pakistan’s efforts in safeguarding national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and legitimate rights and interests, and opposes any country’s interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs. China firmly supports Pakistan in maintaining national unity and resolutely cracking down on terrorism.

The construction of Pakistan-China Economic Corridor is of vital importance for the development of the two countries and the region. Pakistan is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in such areas as finance, energy, agriculture, infrastructure and human resources.
