The Chinese government will continue to support businesses with strength and good reputation to conduct exchanges with Nigeria and support cooperation between their financial institutions. Third, to expand humanities exchanges and cooperation with the aim of building up friendship between both peoples. Both sides should jointly respond to threats from various diseases especially malaria and bird flu. China would like to keeping on offering support to Nigeria within its available resources in the areas of technology, goods and materials. Both sides should expand cultural exchanges, support friendly contact between people from all walks of life and build up mutual understanding and traditional friendship between both peoples. Fourth, to strengthen cooperation in international affairs with the aim of promoting world peace and development. Both sides should enhance coordination and cooperation on major international issues including the UN reform, human rights, counter-terrorism and peacekeeping operations, contribute to South-South cooperation and South-North dialogue, and jointly safeguard just rights and interest of developing nations.

Obasanjo indicated that he warmly welcomed President Hu's visit to Nigeria and this visit shows that the development of bilateral relations is maintaining sound momentum.
