China understands Libya's call to further release frozen assets for post-war reconstruction
2011/10/12

BEIJING, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- China understands the Libyan National Transition Council's (NTC) call for the international community to release frozen assets for post-war reconstruction, Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin said on Tuesday.

"China supports Libya to unfold the post-war reconstruction under the leadership of the NTC and to resume national stability, economic development and normal life," he said.

A Libyan Finance Ministry official said earlier Libya urgently hopes its central bank can receive financing as soon as possible, as the international community has currently only released part of Libya's frozen assets.
