Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met with visiting Permanent Secretary of Namibian Foreign Ministry Veiccoh Nghiwete in Beijing on Monday, pledging to strengthen political consultation between the two countries' foreign ministries. The Chinese Foreign Ministry is ready to cement political consultation with the Namibian Foreign Ministry, and maintain close coordination with Namibia in international and regional affairs, Yang said. Regarding bilateral ties, he told Nghiwete China values its traditional friendship with Namibia, and is willing to enhance exchanges and cooperation with the country in various fields. Nghiwete reiterated the Namibian government's one-China policy, vowing to join hands with China to uplift bilateral ties.
