BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Wednesday met with a delegation of Sudan's ruling National Congress Party (NCP) to discuss party-to-party ties.

Wang Gang, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met with the delegation headed by Ibrahim Ghandour, a senior official in charge of the NCP's external relations.

Wang hailed the "lasting and extensive" friendship between China and Sudan in recent decades, "which was created and cultivated through joint efforts by several generations of leaders of the two nations."
