Chinese Ambassador Yu Hong Attended the Launching Ceremony of First Domestic Supply from Hengyi PMB Petrochemical Project

On 18 May, a ribbon-cutting ceremony of first domestic supply from Hengyi PMB petrochemical project was held at Pulau Muara Besar (PMB), Brunei. H.E. Ambassador Yu Hong, Dato Amin Liew, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II; Dato Suhaimi, Minister of Development; Dato Mat Suny, Minister of Energy; and Mr. Chen Lian Cai, Chief Executive Officer of Hengyi Industries and Mr. Muhammad Norshafiee, Managing Director of BSM were present and inspected the facilities of the truck loading station.

The ceremony signifies that the Hengyi PMB Petrochemical project formally supplies gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene and other fuel oil products to the Brunei domestic market, and assumes the responsibilities of national strategic reserve of oil products and the supply of domestic marke in Brunei .

The start of oil supply from Hengyi will upgrade Brunei's oil supply standard from the previous Euro Ⅱ to Euro V, further enhancing the local environmental protection level.
