"Better Life, Dream Come True" Poverty Alleviation in China

As the world's most populous and largest developing country, China's relentless efforts in battling absolute poverty has delivered momentous results.

From 2013 to 2019, 10 million people are lifted out of poverty every year. China will hit the poverty eradication target as set out by the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development 10 years ahead of schedule.

The following exhibition shares the policy measures and practices the Chinese government has employed over the past decade to help economically strapped families.


800 million people world wide still live under the current poverty line. China is ready to work with our international partners in pooling our best practices and resources and jointly realize the principal goal on the UN SDGs.
