China Tibetan Culture Forum Held in Nepal

On June 6, 2017, the Opening Ceremony of China Tibetan Culture Forum was inaugurated in Kathmandu, Nepal. H. E. Ambassador of P. R. China, Ms. Yu Hong attended and addressed the Ceremony. Mr. An Qiyi, Deputy Director-General of China Tibetology Research Center, Hon. Mr. Madhav Nepal, former Prime Minister of Nepal, Hon. Mr. Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Nepal, along with other scholars were present at the Ceremony.   


Ambassador Yu highlighted that China and Nepal are friendly neighbors linked by mountains and rivers and the two countries have a long history of friendly exchanges. She briefed the meeting about the social and economic achievements of Xi Zang Autonomous Region, appreciated the contribution of Xi Zang for improving the China-Nepal relationship and encouraged the representatives of the forum to further exchange views.

Mr. An Qiyi, Mr. Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Mr. Madav Nepal and Mr. Sarbottam Shrestha also addressed the forum and appreciated the China-Nepal relations and the development of Xi Zang and expected the two countries to further cooperation in all fields.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Yu presented The General History of Xi Zang to Mr. Sarbottam Shrestha and Mr. An Qiyi donated the Kanjur to Nepal. The chief guests also cut the ribbon for the Photos and Books Exhibition.
