Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying Attends Reception Celebrating the 1st Anniversary of the Establishment of ASEAN-China Center

On December 5, 2012, Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying attended and addressed the reception celebrating the 1st anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN-China Center (ACC).

Fu said that ASEAN-China Center functions as an important new platform for communication and cooperation. Within the short span of one year, ACC made the best of its own advantages, utilized both governmental and non-governmental resources, strengthened its own institutional framework, and engaged in diverse, substantial and effective activities. Winning wide recognition and acclaim, these achievements have advanced ASEAN-China cooperation. Fu expressed her conviction that, with the strong support and commitment from both Chinese and ASEAN governments, the work of ACC would move to a higher level and the relations between ASEAN and China would have a brighter future.

Attended by around 500 guests including Cambodian Ambassador to China Khek Caimealy Sysoda, Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs of Thailand Foreign Affairs Ministry Arthayudh Srisamoot, and ACC Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang, the reception proceeded in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
