On 5 February 2025, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane Dr Ruan Zongze met with Sifu SHI Xingzhong, the Representative of Shaolin Temple Cultural Center (Australia), and exchanged views friendly on promoting Shaolin Kung Fu cultural cooperation in Queensland.

Dr Ruan said that Shaolin Kung Fu had a long history in China and was also shared by the whole world. He hoped that more Australian people would understand and like the unique charm of Shaolin Kung Fu.

Sifu SHI Xingzhong said that he would push forward the host of 2025 Oceania Shaolin Kung Fu Game in Brisbane and be an envoy of friendship for the exchanges of Shaolin Kung Fu between China and Australia.
