On May 22, 2023, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong held diplomatic consultations in Seoul with CHOI Yong-jun, Director-General of the Northeast Asian Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK). Liu set forth solemn positions on China’s core concerns and exchanged views with the ROK side on other matters.

During the consultations, Director-General Liu Jinsong also paid a courtesy call to Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the ROK Foreign Ministry Choi Youngsam, and talked with ROK experts and scholars.
