Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin Meets with Belarusian Ambassador to China Charviakou Aliaksandr

On October 10, 2024, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin met with Belarusian Ambassador to China Charviakou Aliaksandr.

Liu Bin said that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Aleksandr Lukashenko, the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Belarus has maintained a good momentum of development, with close high-level exchanges between the two countries and fruitful cooperation in various fields. Both sides need to follow through on the common understandings reached between the two heads of state and promote the continuous and forward development of China-Belarus relations at a high level. Noting that Belarus has joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Liu said China is ready to work with Belarus to promote cooperation in the political, economic, security, and cultural fields of the SCO, so as to make the SCO more solid and stronger.

Charviakou Aliaksandr said that Belarus attaches great importance to the development of its relations with China, and is ready to work with China to increase mutual support, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and enhance international cooperation. Belarus fully supports China's work as the rotating chair of the SCO, and is willing to actively promote and participate in practical cooperation projects.
